Magic Trackpad

Just two days ago I bought a magic trackpad (made by Apple). I've been looking into it for a while, but now I've bought one from The Good Guys. We had received a gift card from one of our previous purchases, so my dad did a deal with me and now I have a magic trackpad for the computer in my room!

It's like a laptop mouse pad, your fingers do all the hard work of moving the arrow on your screen (joking).

Just incase you haven't seen or don't know what a magic trackpad is I've got some images.

One reason why I like the magic trackpad is that you can do many more new movements to control your computer. Such as (if your using a mac) fore fingers swipe across to move between full screen application, fore fingers swipe up will take you to mission control, and again fore fingers swipe down will take you to app Exposé. All up there are about 15 different movements that you can do with one hand to control your mac.

Spotify

Spotify is an easy way to listen to your favourite album, song or just some of the latest hits all for free. You can use Spotify for free with audio ads but if you really won't to loos the ads and get more out of your music you'll be paying $6.99 per month.

First you need to make your own account then you can search for what you feel like listening to or go on to a Spotify radio station and it will start to play all kinds of different songs.

You can make your own playlist with all the songs you like.

This is one of my playlists.

So Spotify is a very cool app, I was very shocked when I saw that you can download the songs and play them offline. You might think this is breaking copyright but it's not.

As I have said it is free on your computer, but on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or other device you will have to buy it after 48 hours starting from when you login. (If you wont to have unlimited usage)

If you would like to try Spotify click the link: Spotify

IOS 7

I'm excited about IOS 7, which has just been announced,  because it's going to have an improved Siri (at last) and a different looking everything! Airdrop, iTunes radio and control centre are some of the new features.

Better Siri: Siri will be upgraded with a better or more realistic voice and Siri is now a female or male voice, but I'm sure the new male voice will be called something different to Siri.

A different looking everything: As you can see Apple has changed the IOS look.

Airdrop: Airdrop is very handy if you wan't to send photos, videos and more to another iPhone user right next to you.

iTunes Radio: I don't know everything about iTunes radio but it sounds cool.

Control Centre: I like the idea of control centre, because the most useful things in settings is just a swipe away, from any app.

Looks like fun to me, it comes out this US fall which is September the 22. Rumours say the iPad mini 2 will come out some time then, might even on that day!!!

In case you don't know, I'm looking to buy the iPad mini 2.

Minecraft

I've been asking my dad for Minecraft for about two years now!!! On average once a month, all he said was "I'll think about it" or "I'll talk to mum". I think one time he did talk to mum but it was always a softish No!

One month I asked "Can I send you (by email) a web link or two about Minecraft??" then he said "sure go ahed".
So I sent him five links which will give him all the information he needed to give me an answer. Later that afternoon I asker him if he had looked at the links, he replied "Not yet" so a gave him a day. The next afternoon I asked the same question he said "Yes but on two conditions"..................I nearly fell over! I asked if he was joking but he wasn't. So now I've been playing Minecraft when mum lets me. I'm still getting use to it so I can't say if it's as good as I hoped yet.

Here are the links, in case you want to look at them:

P.S The two conditions are that we don't play on a public server and.........I'v forgot the other one. : )

The New iPod Touch

The new iPod touch is purposely not as good as the 5th generation, that's because it's just the 4th generation but upgraded, nothing big. (Apple is still selling the 5th generation as the main iPod touch). I think apple is just trying to give us more of a variety in their products.

There isn't much difference with the looks, the 4S has no back-facing camera which means no decent photos, and the front facing camera is capable of 720p video recording (the same with the 5th gen). The 4S doesn't have a "Loop" or the strap (unlike the 5th gen). The microphone has been transferred to the top of the iPod. The 4S still has retina on its new 4 inch display (the same with 5th gen). The 4S comes with the lightning plug and earPods (the same with the 5th gen), and it only comes in Black & Silver and one size, which is 16GB (unlike the 5th gen) .

4S: (16GB) Price for AU $249 but if you are in the US $229.

5Th: (32GB) Price for AU $329, US $299.

iPod Touch 4S

iPod Touch 5th Gen

For $80 more you get, twice the memory, you can choose a colour and you get the camera and the Loop. So if I were you I would chip-in to get the 5th generation.

iPad Mini 2

I'm really excited for the iPad mini 2 because it will probably have all of the following: a retina display; hopefully an A6X chip or even better an A7 with ultra fast graphics and not wasting battery life; a bit of an improvement in the battery, up to 12 hours; much better cameras front and back; much, much better Siri (the currant one is no good) and I think there is going to be some kind of finger print sensor. I don't know whether it'll be like a scanner instead of a password to unlock your iPad or whether it'll be something else.

I'm definitely going to get the iPad mini with retina display (that's what I think it will be called). In fact I'm going to sell my lego crane and my iPod touch 2nd generation to go towards the cost. I could buy it without selling these items but it would use most of my savings. I looked on eBay and found out that you can get a good deal from my lego crane 8053 and I won't be needing my iPod so I'll sell that too. Hopefully I'll get at lest $250 for my two items, that would cover more than half the iPad mini and that would be great!!!

I think I would buy the white and silver version

Which one do you like better? : )

Google Glass

Hi, this subject about google glass.
Now some of you might be wondering what google glass is. Well it's a pair of glasses that has tech in it, the glasses lens is nothing special but there is a little glass block in front of the right lens. As you can see pair of glasses have no lenses, thats because there are two types of lenses a shaded pair and clear pair.

They look a bit strange especially the glass block thats kinda covering your right eye. But ones you get used to seeing people wearing them, it'll probably look normal.
I think the google glasses will be very popular in two or three years. Most bossiness people will have them for reminders, the time, it can receive messages (and send them).

One of my favourite features is the speaker, it's not an ordinary speaker, it vibrates your bone to get the volume which I think is really cool. Another feature is the camera facing the front, you can record and take photos then you can share them.

You can get black, orange, brown, white and blue. I prefer the black. You can see behind were your ear goes the chunky bit, thats the battery. So that's nearly all that I know about google glass, but this video will show you more.

The NAO Robot

The Nao robot is a cool looking robot that is sort of like a rill person. It stands up just like a human, it has funny eyes that makes it look like it looking rite at you. It can clime stairs, ladders and it can adjust so that it can stand on a slope. You can also have a bit of a conversation with him, and he has tantrums sometimes. How cool would this robot be, if you were rich (he costs $16,000!!!)

The Laser Harp

Hello people. I know that no one looks at my posts but I'll just talk.

So you might be wondering what the Laser Harp is? Well it's a different shaped harp, in fact it doesn't look anything like a harp. As you can see it's just a bunch of lasers, but when you block one of these lasers it sounds a harp note. You can also change the sounds.

I think it would be a cool little thing to play with (if you were rich).

This is a little video that i found.

AR Drone 2.0

Hi this is my AR Drone 2.0

I like it because there are two cameras on it and i can take photos with it.

It's made to be controlled by your Idivise and that makes it fun with live video feedback.

Here are some photos i took with my AR Drone 2.0.
This was live when I flew my AR Drone 2.0.

Hope you enjoyed them!
